Busy Week

This week my son started grade one, so I expected to have a little more time with one less kid in the house. I was wrong. I took all sorts of different types of pictures this week. Casey tagged along with me to do a family session at a farm, I did a few grad students, a one week old baby, and even took pictures of someone's scars for an SGI claim. I can't complain that there isn't variety in the job! Now off to a friday wedding in Regina this afternoon, and then tomorrow is a dog show that I am taking pictures at for the second year in a row. Wow. Never a dull moment.

Lungren wedding - August 25th

Melissa and Cavan had an ideal late summer day for their wedding. Not too hot, just a little bit of wind and no bugs! Although we did come across a few dead salamandars in our last location. This wedding marks the third this year where I also photographed either the bride or groom at their graduation. It's really cool to see people at all the different milestones in their lives. Maybe when it's time for babies, you guys can come home to the prairies from B.C. and I can photograph you as a family! Congratulations :)

There was a perfect prairie sky on saturday. Beautifully blue, with just a few wispy clouds. I love Saskatchewan!

Country wedding

On friday I had a wedding at a farm south of Grenfell. It was fairly overcast, and just as the outdoor ceremony was to start, it began spitting lightly. Thankfully it didn't amount to much, and everything went ahead as planned. It turned out to be a great day for pictures. The sky was beautiful and the bride and groom had picked out some terrific spots. We went up on a bridge where the old rail line went. They scaled a steep hill full of thistles and weeds to get up to the top. They were great sports. Not many brides would be willing to go to that much work for a photo! After we had finished there, we went down into the Pipestone. There was a bit of water lying across the road and we got some cool reflection shots.
I had so much fun with you guys yesterday. I hope your honeymoon is awesome, and I'll talk to you in a few weeks.

Mid week wedding

This wedding was on a wednesday. Very different! The couple are friends of ours, and Monette babysits my boys. It was fun to share the day with them. I also had a friend of mine help me with shooting the wedding. She got some awesome pictures. The one of the flower girl was one that she took.

Last week's sessions

One of the other sessions I had was another grad student. We really covered alot of areas around town. The wind was a bit crazy, but we made it work to our advantage.
